914 6 - 2.0L RACE CAR - HSR CHAMPION | SOLD 2013
This is a 914-6 2.0L HRS Challenge race car we built for a local customer here in Phoenix. He has successfully raced it across the country for the last 6 years. Including a HSR West 2.0L Challenge Championship Winner.
We started with a very straight & completely rust free southwest car, completely stripped the car and started extensive chassis reinforcement & front to rear roll cage safety system. One thing you have to look carefully to see is the tilted back front windshield "our little trick". This works with a std. 914 glass windshield.

The front trunk is the heart of our dry sump oil cooling system.
This starts out with a Peterson OIL TANK (part# OIL 08-0011-DB) - 16 quart (4 gallon) aluminum (race) – dual breather - 9 inch. Diameter X 19 inches tall. Also uses the billet aluminum brackets (part # OIL 08-0101)
The oil is routed to the engine using Goodridge fittings and stainless braided hoses. From the engine it returns through the Peterson remote oil filter remote mount (part # OIL 09-0304), to the front through the Mocal oil thermostat (part # OIL-12THER), that will route the oil through the front Setrab oil cooler part (# PMP 500-15NPT3/4), when needed to keep the engine at optimum temperature.
The insulation also includes the Peterson breather/fluid catch tank – spun aluminum type with internal baffling - 2X AN -12 female ports & 1X AN -6AN drain plug – Includes stainless steel strap - 118 MM DIA. - PETERSON FLUID (OIL 08-0400)

ON THE FIRE WALL YOU CAN SEE THE RIGHT SIDE FOR OUR 914 ENGINE MOUNT FOR 6 CYLINDER CONVERSIONS. THIS MOUNT IS DESIGNED AND MANUFACTURED HERE AT PATRICK MOTORSPORTS. THE MOUNT SHOWN IS OUR WELD-IN MOUNT. THE CENTER SECTION THAT BOLTS TO THE ENGINE CAN PIVOT SO FUTURE REPAIRS CAN BE MADE MUCH EASIER.

The lightweight hollow sway bars are half the weight of a 22mm solid bar with the same stiffness. They are fabricated from aircraft-quality 4130 chrome moly alloy steel and heat treated to maximize strength and reliability.
Bearing blocks, drop links, and swaybar arms are CNC machined from aircraft-quality 6061-T6 aluminum for its high strength to weight ratio.
Fully adjustable front and rear drop links to eliminate suspension preload.
Correctly sized, precision Teflon-lined rod-ends for smooth and quiet operation, long life, and high reliability. No wear and rattling problems, like those seen with other designs, due to undersized or low quality rod ends.
All necessary hardware is provided in zinc plated metric class 8.8
The adjustable drop-link arm connection design provides an infinitely adjustable swaybar stiffness rate and makes it quick and easy to fine-tune your car's handling for various track conditions and driving styles.
Thermoplastic bushings impregnated with Teflon and reinforced with Kevlar provide smooth operation, long life, and high resistance to deflecting under heavy loading.
