For this client we completed a GT conversion on his 1975 914-6, which had a 3.2L 6-cylinder DME. We provided a concours level full body strip & reseal respray with a full 914-6 gt body conversion - using steel fender flares, rocker panels, front bumper, lower valance, rear bumper, and rear lower valance.We added an Oil Cooler and Air Shroud Kit and carried out a full glass reseal & refresh with felt guides. This 1974 to 1973 backdate 911 got a complete tear down, rebuild and upgrade package with a 3.8L engine, RSR bodywork, coilover suspension, and custom interior. This original 1974 Carrera has been converted to an all steel RSR wide body, and fitted with a 993 Twin Turbo EFI engine and G-50/50 transaxle. This 3.5L started life as a 3.2L Carrera engine. Using a 964 crankshaft and our exclusive Mahle Motorsports pistons, cylinders and Pauter rods, the displacement was raised to 3.5L. The engine breathes through AT Power individual throttle bodies which give excellent throttle response and are extremely free flowing.

Our new and exclusive 3.5L engine conversion package offers great performance while maintaining streetability. Our exclusive piston, cylinder and rod set bump up the displacement from 3.2L to 3.5L. As the year comes to a close as well as the decade, we thought we would look at all we accomplished in the past 365 days. Our first vehicle finished this year was a 1971 914 converted to 914-6 GT spec with a 3.6L DME and 915 transaxle. Produced from 1953 to 1964, the Type 547 engine was one of Porsche’s greatest motors. The motor came out of the desire for more revs and more power, something the Beetle derived pushrod motors could not deliver on. Going from the agricultural Beetle motor to the four cam seemed about as big as a jump as the Wright Flyer to the Saturn V rocket.
