This car was brought to us from Laguna Beach, Ca., family owned since new. The owner wanted to build the ultimate street 914-6 GT with a killer drivetrain.
The color is Dupont Hot Hues "SILVA".
We started with a '97 Big Valve VarioRam engine, and back dated the DME injection system to '95 for fitment ease. The 3.6L was torn down, heads blueprinted, crank polished & fitted with Pauter CM rods, MAHLE Motorsport 3.8L Pistons and Cylinders, RS sport cams, RS solid rocker kit, etc.,
For the installation into the “Street GT Car”, the engine has been fitted with our Cam Block off Kit, Single Belt Alternator/ Crank Pulley Kit, Our 3.6L to 914-6 Engine Sheet Metal Kit, our special Engine Conversion Mount, 3.6L DME Engine Conversion Harness, Conversion Air Intake Boot Kit, Air Injection System Delete Kit, ceramic coated Sport Headers with Polished Stainless Silencers, our 16 quart Competition Oil Tank System, along with our SETRAB 500COM Front Mount Oil Cooler Kit. Many other factory based parts will be used. This car will be fitted with a late model 1986 915 transmission with LSD featuring the WEVO rear tail shift system. The shifting linkage kit is developed by Patrick Motorsports and incorporates a bulk-head mono-ball bearing cartridge system that smoothly and precisely guilds the lightweight shift tube assembly.
Rear shift rod utilizes needle bearing universal joints at both ends. The hanging style tail section is mated to the chassis by Patrick Motorsport Rear Delrin Transmission Mounts. The rear axles are the late style Carrera/930 CV type from '85.5 thru '89. These are used with our exclusive stub axle spacer set, allowing the use of the hub-centric 911 SC/Carrera rear wheel flange. Full rotisserie chassis re-construction, all rust cut out & replaced, replacement doors, all steel flares butt welded & metal finished. Recaro Pole Position black leather seats with Momo steering wheel.

A solution long overdue for the many mid engine Porsche cars that can choose from the 901 or 915 series transmissions. With most modern 6 cylinder mid engine cars capable of developing torque output above the practical limit of the 901 series transmission, the 915 has become increasingly preferred for the larger gears, crown wheel and pinion and drive flanges.

Suspension is our Rear Coil Over System - Porsche 914 ’70-’76 – Sport / Race - Includes : 2) BILSTEIN rear sport height adjustable shocks, EIBACH 2.50 inch I.D. spring set (available in 25 lbs increments from 150 lbs to 400 lbs), upper spring hat set, 2) lower spring perch sets “fully adjustable” – For street use setup we recommend (175-225 lbs spring set) – For full racecar setup we recommend (275- 325 lbs spring set). The system allows infinite ride height adjustability and corner weight balance setup. Part # SUS 914 RCKIT and PMP914-RTRAKT Fit all 914 chassis-includes 914 certified reconditioned trailing arm set with reconditioned and polished pivot shafts, plated bearing retainer plates, and box reinforcing kits, we added “D” hooks at the rear for towing and DYNO tie down points, then finished them in black powder coating. Now is the time to add the Delrin bushings part #SUSRDCABUSH, new wheel bearings part # DRI 99905303500 and 5 bolt hubs Part #DRI 99931106533 for your wheel and tire swap. We also used our rear toe rod adjustment kit. Which includes the rod system with spherical bearings with adjustable hardware pre modified and powder coated carrier brackets and 2 steel weld-in rocker mounting plates. The factory rear adjustments are very difficult and time consuming to do. This kit makes the adjustments much easier and locks in position so they cannot easily change.

Engine short block preparation and assembly.
THE CAR HAS BEEN COMPLETELY PRIMED WITH SELF ETCHING ZINC OXIDE PRIMER. THEN PRIMED AND COMPLETELY BLOCKED SANDED THREE TO FOUR TIMES SO THE BODY IS PERFECT. MOST BODY SHOPS WILL PRIME AND BLOCK SAND ONE OR TWO TIMES AND THEN PAINT. WE TAKE THE EXTRA STEPS TO ENSURE THAT THE FINISHED PAINT JOB IS SHOW WINNING QUALITY.
THIS IS A GOOD SHOT OF THE CONSOLE ACCESS HOLE WE ADD TO MAKE SERVICING THE ENGINE LATER AS EASY AS POSSABLE. IT IS THEN FINISHED WITH A REMOVABLE COVER.

This car is fitted with our front oil cooler system the Setrab oil cooler part # PMP 500-15NPT3/4, with installation kit part # PKG 9146GT-FTOC-KIT. This is plumbed to the engine using Goodridge fittings and stainless braided hoses. Adding an oil cooler system is a must for operation of the all cooled engines in warmer climates as the factory engine mounted cooler just does not keep your engine operating in its optimal temperature range, causing premature engine wear and loss for performance. Our systems have been designed to keep your engine operating at its desired operating temperature which extends engine life and improves performance.
