We restored and converted this 1970 911 into a RS "PRO" Touring edition! Our customer's 911 will be powered by a 1995 993 3.6L DME fuel injected engine. Power is executed through our G50 5 speed Short Bell Housing transaxle. This 1972 911 was a wreck when it showed up on a trailer towed in from San Diego. The customer wanted to have a car with super performance, and the comfort of A/C. The 1995 Porsche 993 3.6L engine was selected for installation in this project car.To fit this engine in this older Porsche 911 chassis, several modifications are required, the dash and power brake sheet metal work was the most intensive (see detail in photos).   This 1967 912 was fully restored here at Patrick Motorsports, then presented at PCA Werks Reunion 2017, in Monterey, California! Day 1 is stripping the car back for investigation.   This 1967 911S Targa Soft Window #500100 was the prototype car built by PORSCHE to show off the new concept.The #500100 had a tough & rough life up to the point we received it. We had to restore most of the chassis on our Celette Fixture Bench, and hand make many of the rusty sections that are no longer available. It has turned out fantastic, and now at paint! We have fitted a 1997 993 3.6L DME fuel injected engine, featuring our Patrick MS 225mm 3.6L DME conversion flywheel, camshaft block-offs, single belt crankshaft pulley, and much more. We fitted a 1985 911 915 Carrera transaxle with LSD, then went through and freshened up this great transaxle, with a semi-tube chassis design.     993 3.6L engine and 915 transmission installed with our 911 exhaust headers and custom made dual muffler system.
