We started with a customer supplied 1984 911 Carrera 3.2L, first complete disassembly and evaluation. Then conversion to long hood early ST configuration. This will be powered by a 1996 993 v-ram configured to 3.8l Euro RS spec.. We will be using our G50 short bell housing gearbox. Take a look at the interior detail!

Fitment Of The HID Light System In The 911 ST
The 993 DME ECU installation. Our 3.6L adapter harness simply interfaces the chassis to the engine control unit and harness. Notice the addition of the OBD (On Board Diagnostic) plug enabling easy scanning and engine runtime monitoring. This particular engine and ECU were from the 1996 PORSCHE 993 V-Ram engine. The 1996-1998 versions feature the more advanced OBD II system requiring Anti-Drive Off (Drive Block) defeat. Typically at the same time we reprogram the ECU with a performance tune to match the engine's specific hardware such as cams, free-flow exhaust and the light weight single mass flywheel.
