Bright orange, stretched fenders, and a loud exhaust.  Driving down the road, everyone stares.  While on the outside it may look and sound like a racecar, on the inside it feels far from it.  There is still air conditioning and the Recaro seats are both heated and ventilated, a huge luxury in the Arizona heat.    Out on the open road, the steering is darty and eager to turn in.  The vehicle feels taught, with no hesitation on initial turn-in.  Planted through undulations, bump steer is well controlled.  Using the brakes requires a lead foot just like any racecar.  Once proper...

1995 993 RSR Speedster - 3.8L MOTEC ITB - 6 SPEED

This project started life as a 1995 993 C-2 cabriolet. I purchased it as a "salvage title" interior fire/burn, and parted it out. I always dreamed of a race car, or Crazy C-4 Roadster conversion-(turbocharged of course), "Pikes Peak" killer. OK, I came to my senses, and here is what we have done. We stripped & sand blasted the tub, seam welded & caged the chassis. We then gave it the Zinc acid etch sealer. We fitted it with the 993 GT2 glass body package, our little twist was the addition of the cab./speedster profile. We have designed and fabricated...

1973 911 T To RSR Retro Creation - 993 3.6L Varioram Conversion - G50 Transmission

We have started with a very clean 1973 911 T showing 90,000 miles on the odometer. It’s a car that I bought without the original 2.4L mechanical injection engine, although it did still have the orig. 915 w-7:31 ring and pinion hanging in there. The car was so clean & complete I had thought about putting a 2.4L MFI engine back in, wait this thought only crossed my mind for a moment. I had true visions of grandeur ’73 RSR style with a ’96-‘98 3.6L DME V-Ram engine featuring A/C and Heat, coupled to one of our built '87-'89 G-50...

This vehicle underwent a complete rebuild to RSR spec. We incorporated a G50 Short Bell Housing (SBH) 6-speed transmission. We machined and performed a blueprinted rebuild here at Patrick Motorsports. Fitment required extensive chassis modifications due to the longer transmission length. The engine displacement has been increased to 3.8L. Oil cooling has been updated with an RSR oil pump, our special Setrab front mount oil cooler and the original equipment 930 radiator style front fender cooler. The specs for the racing class allowed us to use PMO Carburetion with a high output ignition system. We also built a new wheel...

1972 911 RS - 3.6L DME Conversion - G50 SBH Transmission

This '72 911 was a wreck when it showed up on a trailer towed in from San Diego. The customer wanted to have a car with super performance, and the comfort of A/C. The 1995 Porsche 993 3.6L engine was selected for installation in this project car.To fit this engine in this older Porsche 911 chassis, several modifications are required, the dash and power brake sheet metal work was the most intensive (see detail in photos).
