Once featured on the cover of Road & Track Magazine and driven by racing legend Al Holbert, this 1976 934 needs some attention.
Featured in a comparison between the new Carrera Turbo road car and the all out race car 935.
How the vehicle arrived
What it should look like
After restoration
The fuel cell had been poorly repaired
Fuel cell restored to like new condition
After some race incidences, the body of the vehicle needed to be straightened on our Celette Bench.
Repairs needed to be made to the door skins
New front bumper as the old one was in disrepair
Straightening the chassis, rubbing is racing and this car certainly raced.
Refinished the magnesium centered BBS mesh wheels
Unlike most race cars which are body in white, this 934 was blue all the way through.
Ni-resist ring for high boost pressure
The 3.0L flat six makes 480 to over 500 horse power depending on boost level.
Unlike most race cars, this vehicle had a full paint job for its livery
Everything was masked off by hand in our in-house paint shop
Hand painted stripes and letter now cover the wide body of the 934.
The heart of the beast, 3.0 liters, five fuel pumps, two water to air intercoolers and a weapons grade turbo.
