This original 914-6 came to us for a complete restoration & 914 6 GT conversion. The car was stuffed in the back of a small U-Haul box truck without suspension. The 2.0L engine was period correct and was completely blueprinted and updated with the 2.0L S 9.8:1 compression ratio piston and cylinder set. We also updated to big valve heads which required the intake valve pockets on the piston domes to be machined for proper valve clearance. We were commissioned to build a 914/6 GT 2.5L Jagermeister Tribute race car for vintage racing here in the US.  Look for this car running on the East Coast! In 1970, Porsche entered a 914/6 with the factory's GT option in the grueling 24 Hours of Le Mans race. The car, identified as #40, was driven by Claude Ballot-Léna and Guy Chasseuil. It finished 6th overall, preceded only by prototype racecars like the V12 Ferrari 512S and Flat-12 Porsche 917K.
