1975 914/4 To 914/6 3.2L Upgrade Conversion Restoration

This 1975 914-4 was converted to a 914-6 with a 3.2L DME motronic engine, 901 5 speed trans with Wavetrac ATB diff, sport headers & exhaust, backdated bumpers, upgraded suspension & brakes, and a hidden front oil cooler. The end result is a slick, understated classic with nearly triple the stock power! Stripped down, the engine bay needed to be perfected before anything new could go in.We blanket the car in 3M, specially designed to protect the body and paint from welding sparks. 1973 914/4 to 914/6 GT 2.7L 901 Side Shifter Upgrade Conversion

This 1973 914-4 came to us from San Jose, California for the 914-6 GT conversion. The car is fitted with a 2.7L engine 40mm Zenith carbs, a 901 side shift transaxle. We took the car to bare metal, added steel GT flares, all 914 GT lightweight side rockers, GT front & rear valance, GT front & rear deck lids, GT front & rear bumpers, and GT engine lid. We hand built a lightweight roll cage system - all tubing is bent & fitted and is welded to re-plated areas of the chassis. You always need to re-plate with .120 sheet...

This is a 914-6 2.0L HRS Challenge race car we built for a local customer here in Phoenix. He has successfully raced it across the country for the last 6 years. Including a HSR West 2.0L Challenge Championship Winner. This 1966 912 “3 gauge” coupe was picked up for our customer at the 2009 German Auto Fest in Ventura, Ca. and brought back to Phoenix for a complete restoration. Completely torn down, rebuilt, and perfected top to bottom. Finished off in Polo Red. The car won 1st in Class at the PCA Werks Reunion 2016, in Monterey California. This 1965 911 is the # 595 produced. We have completely disassembled the chassis, and prepared the main chassis & all steel body components for acid stripping! Neutralized & sealed with a High Zinc primer, then we stitch welded the entire chassis. We designed & built a complete chassis roll cage system to meet FIA specifications, the customer requested removable door bars. This car was built to race in the HSR WEST 2.0L PORSCHE VINTAGE Challenge. 2.0L single plug, 12.5 CR, 40MM PMO carbs, billet rods, 906 style cams, andall the little details in-between. 901 side shift trans., 904 mainshaft, billet intermediate case section, all special close ratio gear sets, oil cooling system & 5 point return system, along with a billet torque bias diff.
