1958 356 With 993 3.6L DME VarioRam and 915Conversions
Posted by PATRICK MOTORSPORTS on
We have fitted a 1997 993 3.6L DME fuel injected engine, featuring our Patrick MS 225mm 3.6L DME conversion flywheel, camshaft block-offs, single belt crankshaft pulley, and much more.
We fitted a 1985 911 915 Carrera transaxle with LSD, then went through and freshened up this great transaxle, with a semi-tube chassis design.
993 3.6L engine and 915 transmission installed with our 911 exhaust headers and custom made dual muffler system. On the ground you will see very little of the system, making it very hard to tell this is anything more than a beautifully restored 356 until you get a better look at the back of the car when it blows your doors off!
This shows the only stock suspension component, the front torsion tube with 911 vented rotors and 4 piston calipers. After all you couldn't expect the stock drum brakes to stop this monster. They had a hard time slowing the car down with the stock 1600.
This is a custom fabricated aluminum oil tank that we designed for this application.
When a fuel cell is wanted or required there is no finer choice than a Fuel Safe fuel cell. They are used and approved by all sanctioning bodies in every racing application from off road to Indy. If you are looking for a fuel cell, Fuel Safe should be your first and only choice!
